The Precious Metals Recycling Industry Conference and the "2018 National Symposium and Technical Exchange Meeting on Hazardous Waste/Solid Waste Resources" originally scheduled for June 15-17 in Beijing have been postponed to July 6-8, 2018 in Beijing. This is due to the original dates overlapping with the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, which caused inconvenience to participating companies. After urgent consultations among multiple organizing and co-organizing institutions, the postponement was decided. China's precious metals industry started relatively late, and its technology, management, and overall strength lag far behind established international precious metals companies. To develop China's precious metals industry, integrate with the international community, promote international exchanges, and strengthen international cooperation, the Precious Metals Recycling Special Committee of the China物资再生协会 will lead domestic precious metals companies to Europe for investigation and visits from May 8th to 18th during the Global Platinum Group Metals Week. We will also conduct exchanges with European precious metals companies and experts. Precious metals related companies and relevant units are invited to actively participate.

Petrochemical Waste Catalyst Standards Committee Established

The types and quantities of spent catalysts from the petrochemical industry are vast, with over 1 million tons generated in 2016, accounting for 8.7% of all hazardous waste. As almost all spent catalysts were classified as HW50 hazardous waste under the newly promulgated and implemented Catalogue of Hazardous Wastes in 2016, standardized management has become a common challenge for government agencies, industry organizations, and related upstream and downstream enterprises.
