Convening the “100-Person Forum on Innovative Applications of Platinum Group Metals”

The global platinum-group metals industry is currently undergoing a profound period of transformation. The rapid growth of battery-electric vehicles has led to a sustained decline in demand for platinum and palladium in the traditional automotive sector. Meanwhile, the recent sharp rise in platinum and palladium prices has placed significant cost pressures on the industry chain. Against this backdrop, innovative applications of platinum-group metals, deepening international cooperation, and jointly building an open and collaborative industrial ecosystem have become crucial measures for addressing these challenges.
The first forum was held successfully and recognized by the industry widely. To continue promoting innovative applications of platinum-group metals in emerging fields, expanding diversified demand, and fostering an open, transparent, fair, and orderly international market environment, the China Precious Metals Industry Committee will convene the “Second 100-Person Forum on Innovative Applications of Platinum-Group Metals.” This year’s forum will focus on exploring how to jointly uphold the stability and sustainable development of the platinum-group metals market through collaboration between technology and the market.
The forum focuses on application areas such as fiberglass, new energy, electronics, healthcare, automotive, and fine chemicals. It aims to promote technological innovation, boost consumption of platinum-group metals, and help enterprises alleviate operational pressures and explore high-value-added growth pathways through deep integration among industry, academia, research, and application, as well as by connecting with international resources. This will guide the industry toward a new direction of innovation-driven, sustainable, and high-quality development.
