Xilong Scientific's Foshan Plant Named 2026 Guangdong Provincial-Level Green Factory

On October 9, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology released its 2026 list of provincial-level green factories. Foshan Xilong Chemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Foshan Xilong"), a subsidiary of Xilong Scientific, made the list and was recognized as a "2026 Provincial-Level Green Factory" for its solid green manufacturing system and outstanding achievements in energy conservation and carbon reduction.
This latest recognition marks another step forward in Foshan Xilong's green manufacturing journey. In July of this year, the company successfully passed the review by the Foshan Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and was named a "2026 Foshan Municipal-Level Green Factory." Having secured both municipal- and provincial-level certifications within just three months, Foshan Xilong has achieved a progressive leap in building its green manufacturing system, with its green manufacturing capabilities now receiving more authoritative recognition.
Being a green factory is more than just an honorary title. Under the General Principles for Assessment of Green Factories (GB/T 36132-2025), the evaluation of a green factory covers dimensions such as low-carbon energy, resource efficiency, clean production, green products, and intensive land use. Being selected as a provincial-level green factory means that the company has passed multiple rounds of review and met provincial certification standards in areas including energy conservation and consumption reduction, clean production, resource recycling, and green operations.
At the same time, the threshold for provincial-level green factory designation is by no means low. According to the relevant application notice issued by the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the selection of green factories follows the principle of selecting the best, with priority given to enterprises and industrial parks that have achieved outstanding results in green transformation and demonstrate significant exemplary and driving effects. In addition, the application process includes a clear negative list: companies that have experienced accidents related to safety, quality, or environmental pollution in the past three years, have engaged in illegal or non-compliant activities such as tax evasion, or have been listed as dishonest persons subject to enforcement are not eligible to apply. Successfully passing the application and review process, with its multiple layers of screening, is itself a testament to a company's compliance in operations and its performance in safety and environmental protection.
Founded in 2008, Foshan Xilong is rooted in the Fine Chemical Industrial Park in Datang Town, Sanshui District, Foshan City, and serves as a production base of Xilong Scientific with advanced process technology and comprehensive capabilities. In addition, Foshan Xilong was recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise in 2017 and as a Guangdong Provincial Engineering Research Center for High-Purity Chemical Reagents in 2019, providing a solid foundation for technological research and development.
The progression from municipal-level to provincial-level recognition in green manufacturing reflects the company's long-term investment in energy conservation, carbon reduction, and green operations. Being named a provincial-level green factory is both an recognition and an indication of higher standards and ongoing responsibility. Foshan Xilong will continue to benchmark against higher green manufacturing requirements, steadily advance the green and low-carbon development of its factory, and put the concept of green development into practice in a substantive and thorough manner.
