Overall, the products of platinum and palladium enterprises are mainly supplied to the petrochemical industry, automotive industry, instrumentation industry, high-end manufacturing industry, and high-end sectors such as jewelry processing. From raw material entry to finished product delivery, the enterprise has formulated complete standards and processes to ensure that the operational procedures, operating specifications, and quality control standards between each process are strictly implemented. The entire life cycle and process of platinum and palladium resource regeneration are continuously controlled. However, the survey also found that some small enterprises, due to objective reasons such as insufficient systematic quality management, outdated equipment, and weak technical strength, have caused slight fluctuations in product quality.
Today At the beginning of the year, the Precious Metals Working Committee of the China Resource Recycling Association ( CPMIC ) launched a comprehensive survey covering both domestic and international markets. Led by Bian Jiang, the Association's vice secretary-general, the survey team visited major platinum and palladium producing and sales areas in China, and also went to Southeast Asia, Singapore, the UK, Russia, and other places to conduct extensive discussions and surveys with local traders, manufacturers, recyclers, consumers, quality inspection institutions, and local government departments.
Through these visits and exchanges, CPMIC a basic understanding of the production, consumption, processing trade, acquisition standards, trade flow, warehousing and logistics, and quality inspection of platinum and palladium products was obtained, which also laid a solid foundation for calculating the deliverable amount for the listing of platinum and palladium futures in China.
During the sampling process, the survey team paid attention to the breadth and representativeness of the samples. They not only focused on the quality testing of platinum and palladium products from leading state-owned enterprises but also conducted sampling and testing on key privately owned enterprises, classifying and numbering each sample to ensure that the origin of each sample was clear and reliable. This process comprehensively checked the product quality of major domestic platinum and palladium companies and imported mainstream platinum and palladium brands worldwide, and objectively demonstrated the continuous improvement in the quality of China's platinum group metal industry operation status.
According to the survey results, 95% the surveyed enterprises showed great interest in the upcoming listing of platinum and palladium futures, while 4% enterprises remained in a wait-and-see attitude, with only 1% enterprises having no plans to participate in futures delivery for the time being. This reflects the market's high recognition and expectation of this financial instrument.
The survey also found that most platinum and palladium enterprises have a high degree of specialization, with advanced and highly automated production equipment, advanced processing technologies, and high product reliability. Some enterprises have even achieved internationally leading product quality levels. At the same time, enterprises generally attach importance to the construction of quality management systems, and have mostly passed ISO quality management system certification. The quality awareness and technical skills of employees have significantly improved, and they place importance on reviewing and summarizing production processes and are able to implement quality management strictly according to standards.
During production, workshop operators and inspectors strictly follow operating procedures and work specifications, and keep detailed records of the production process, process operations, quality inspections, and testing. The workshop site is clearly divided into different areas, with production and product labels displayed, strictly distinguishing the status and form of products at different stages to ensure the traceability of product quality and effectively control product quality.
