Green development is an inherent requirement of high-quality productivity and a distinctive feature of high-quality development. To improve the level of green development in the precious metals industry, the Precious Metals Working Committee of the China物资再生协会 (CPMIC) actively guides enterprises in technological innovation and energy conservation and emission reduction, provides consulting and guidance for enterprise green development, and provides comprehensive support for enterprise qualification and honor applications.
Green development is an inherent requirement of high-quality productivity and a distinctive characteristic of high-quality development. To improve the level of green development in the precious metals industry, the Precious Metals Working Committee (CPMIC) of the China物资再生协会 actively guides enterprises in technological innovation and energy conservation and emission reduction, provides consulting and guidance for enterprise green development, and provides comprehensive support for enterprise qualification and honor applications. Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the 2024 Green Manufacturing List, and Heraeus Precious Metals Technology (China) Co., Ltd., a vice-president unit of our association, was awarded the title of "National Green Factory." This honor reflects Heraeus Precious Metals China's long-term commitment to comprehensive cultivation and development in production and operation, technological innovation, improving resource utilization, and environmental protection publicity, serving as strong evidence of Heraeus Precious Metals China's green, low-carbon, and sustainable development, further enhancing its brand image and market competitiveness.
As an industry leader with two national-level green factories, Heraeus Precious Metals actively responds to the national "dual carbon" policy, adheres to the concept of green, low-carbon, and sustainable development, fully implements the green circular development strategy, and has formulated a sustainable development goal and roadmap of "achieving carbon neutrality by 2025 and achieving fossil energy substitution and net-zero emissions by 2033." To this end, the Heraeus Precious Metals Nanjing factory continues to increase investment, implementing more than 60 energy conservation and emission reduction projects through process improvements, equipment upgrades, technological innovation, rooftop photovoltaics, etc., achieving 100% use of green electricity.
At the same time, Heraeus Precious Metals actively cooperates with upstream and downstream partners to jointly promote the construction of a green supply chain, leading the industry towards a greener, lower-carbon, and more sustainable direction.
Ms. Hu Min, General Manager of Heraeus Precious Metals China, said that as a leading provider of precious metal products and services, sustainable development is the cornerstone of Heraeus Precious Metals' strategic development, and the company will continue to pursue sustainable development and lead the green development of the precious metals industry.
