To all relevant enterprises and institutions:

Since the release and implementation of the new list of hazardous wastes, the impact on the operation of enterprises engaged in precious metal recycling and refining has been enormous. Environmental protection supervision is increasingly strict, and new environmental protection policies and regulations under the new situation will be successively introduced this year. Due to the serious lack of industry standards for precious metal recycling, most of them belong to large categories without detailed classification. This unclear and undefined status has led to significant discrepancies between enterprises in the industry and regulatory agencies in some business processes. To this end, the Precious Metal Recycling Professional Committee will work with major enterprises in the industry to draft various related standards to cooperate with these policies, effectively guaranteeing the production and operation of enterprises in the industry and contributing to the healthy development of China's precious metal industry.

The China Association of Recycling Resources will hold the "2017 National Recycling Resource Industry Work Conference" in Beijing Fengda International Hotel from July 21 to 23, 2017. The Precious Metal Recycling Professional Committee, in collaboration with the Hydrometallurgy Branch, the End-of-Life Vehicle Dismantling Professional Committee, and the Hazardous Waste Disposal and Utilization Working Committee, will co-host this conference.

After discussions among various branches, the main meeting arrangements for participants from the Precious Metal Recycling Professional Committee are as follows:

July 22, morning plenary session

Main content:

Speeches by leaders of relevant ministries and commissions

Analysis of the macroeconomic situation

In addition, during the first half of the time period, participants can attend the hazardous waste disposal and utilization sub-forum, mainly featuring lectures by officials from the Ministry of Ecology and Environment on the analysis of the hazardous waste situation and hazardous waste policies. In the second half of the time period, participants can attend the meeting on new models for the disposal of hazardous waste from scrapped vehicles, and a signing ceremony for the designated recycling of three-way catalysts and scrapped vehicles.

Note: This is a comprehensive conference. Meetings of various branches will start simultaneously with different content and locations. Please select the parts you are interested in based on the recommendations of the Precious Metals Professional Committee.
