  Zhang Yanghui made the above statement at the first China-Japan-Korea Circular Economy Forum. According to estimates, in 2015, China's domestic recovery of seven categories of recycled resources, excluding waste paper, including waste steel, waste non-ferrous metals, waste plastics, waste tires, waste electrical and electronic products, scrapped vehicles, and scrapped ships, totaled approximately 180 million tons. With economic development, the amount of domestic waste of recycled resources in China will increase significantly.
  China's recycled resource recovery industry has developed rapidly in recent years. According to statistics from the Ministry of Commerce, in 2013, the total recovery of eight major categories of recycled resources, including waste paper, was approximately 160 million tons, with a total recovery value of 481.71 billion yuan. In 2014, with the addition of waste glass and waste batteries, the total recovery of ten major categories of recycled resources was approximately 245 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4%, with a total recovery value of 644.69 billion yuan.
