Environmental protection talks focus on renewable resource development

On the 18th, the Economic and Commercial Office of the Italian Embassy in China held a China-Italy environmental protection symposium. Representatives from businesses and research institutions in both countries exchanged views extensively on cooperation in the field of renewable resources under the new circumstances and reached a positive consensus.

It is understood that the Chinese participants mainly included China Renewable Resources Development Co., Ltd. and the China International Technology Transfer and Cooperation Network, while the Italian side was composed of organizations such as the Global Energy and Environment Exchange Organization and the Bologna Regional Business Federation of Italy.


 

Chinese representatives unanimously agreed that the introduction of the new Environmental Protection Law has brought significant opportunities for China to carry out international cooperation in the field of environmental protection. The Chinese side appreciates Italy's advanced technology and experience in renewable resources and hopes to use the China-Italy Technology Transfer Center as a platform, through equity cooperation with Italian companies to establish joint ventures, to conduct innovative pilot projects in China, particularly in rural areas, tailored to local conditions.

 

Italian representatives stated that Italy possesses diverse environmental technologies and solutions in the field of renewable resources. They proposed pilot projects with China in three areas: industrial waste treatment, waste oil treatment, and garbage incineration equipment. They also expressed their hope to promote their experience in environmental cooperation with China to other regions globally.
