The 2015 national subsidy policy for scrapping and replacing old vehicles has been in effect for some time. What are the changes in this year's policy update? What is the subsidy process? Which companies can recycle motor vehicles? Let's take a look.
Specific subsidy scope and amount for the 2015 national policy on scrapping and replacing old vehicles:
Trucks delivered to scrapped vehicle recycling and dismantling enterprises between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2015. Specific types are shown in the table below:
What are the changes in this year's subsidy policy for scrapping and replacing old vehicles?
This year's subsidy policy has three major changes compared to last year, which car owners need to pay attention to: Firstly, scrapping old vehicles no longer requires an update in the same year; scrapping within the specified period is sufficient. Secondly, subsidies for medium-sized cargo trucks have been added this year, which were not available last year. Thirdly, subsidies for dangerous goods transport trucks have been added this year, with a service life of more than 8 years but less than 10 years.
In addition, car owners also need to note:
Firstly, for scrapped vehicles that have been in use for 8 or 10 years or more, the required usage time must be a full 8 or 10 years;
Secondly, scrapped vehicles must not have reached the specified scrapping service life. Vehicles that have reached or exceeded the scrapping service life are not eligible for subsidies;
Thirdly, cargo vehicles with a total mass of less than 10,000 kilograms are not eligible for subsidies;
Fourthly, full trailers and semi-trailers without power units are not included in the scrapping subsidy scope;
Fifthly, if the car owner fails to apply for subsidy funds within the specified time, it will be considered an automatic waiver.
What is the subsidy process? (Taking Wuxi City as an example)
Eligible applicants can apply for subsidy funds at the Wuxi Municipal Bureau of Commerce between September 1, 2015 and January 31, 2016, and provide the following materials:
1. Original copy of the "Scrapped Vehicle Recycling Certificate" (third copy);
2. Original and copy of the "Motor Vehicle Cancellation Certificate";
3. Copy of the motor vehicle driving license or motor vehicle registration certificate of the scrapped vehicle;
4. Original and copy of valid identity proof (owner's ID card or unit's organization code certificate);
5. Copy of the passbook of the personal bank account or the unit account opening certificate with the same name as the car owner.
Note: If the car owner fails to apply for subsidy funds within the specified time, it will be considered an automatic waiver, and relevant departments will not accept the application.
