On May 13, a signing ceremony for the Xintiandi International Remanufacturing Industrial Park project, a key project of the "Urban Mine" demonstration base approved by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Finance, was held in the Dongjiakou Economic Zone Management Committee. The project has a total investment of 400 million yuan (including US\$20 million in foreign investment), a planned land area of 127 mu, a planned construction area of 104,000 square meters, an annual output value of 560 million yuan after the project is fully operational, and annual tax revenue of 26 million yuan. It is planned to be built into a national-level remanufacturing industry demonstration base.
On May 13, the signing ceremony for the Xintiandi International Remanufacturing Industrial Park project was held in the Dongjiakou Economic Zone Management Committee, marking the official establishment of the project in the Dongjiakou Circular Economy Zone. This project is a key project of the "Urban Mine" demonstration base approved by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Finance, and is planned to be built into a national-level remanufacturing industry demonstration base. Regulatory agencies are set up in the zone by customs, inspection and quarantine, and environmental protection departments, and the import and export of goods within the regulatory zone are supervised in accordance with relevant national policies. The focus is on the remanufacturing and deep processing of domestic and imported auto parts and waste electromechanical products.
The project investor, Xintiandi Environmental Group, is a comprehensive entity company mainly investing in environmental infrastructure, recycling of renewable resources, renewable resource recycling systems, and the development and application of environmental technology. The group has "five firsts" in the industry: it undertook China's first national-level ecological industrial demonstration park for the recycling industry, one of the first national urban mine demonstration bases, one of the first waste home appliance resource utilization projects, a pilot project for China's renewable resource recycling system, and one of the first "China-Japan circular city cooperation" projects.
The total investment of the project is 400 million yuan (including US\$20 million in foreign investment), with a planned land area of 127 mu and a planned construction area of 104,000 square meters. After the project is fully operational, the annual output value will be 560 million yuan, and the tax revenue will be 26 million yuan per year. The project content is mainly divided into three parts: firstly, bonded warehousing and logistics, with a construction area of 41,000 square meters; secondly, remanufacturing of 300,000 generators and starters for auto parts per year, with a construction area of 37,000 square meters; and thirdly, remanufacturing of 500,000 engines, transmissions, and steering gears for auto parts per year, with a construction area of 26,000 square meters.
The construction of the project is of great practical significance for forming a circular economy model of "resources-products-waste products-remanufactured products," cultivating green consumption habits among consumers, and promoting the circular development of the field of consumer goods. On the one hand, the project achieves the recycling and reuse of resources through the remanufacturing and deep processing of waste auto parts and electromechanical products; on the other hand, through the recycling of urban mine resources, it reduces the raw material costs of enterprises that demand mineral resources and the environmental damage caused by resource extraction and processing, alleviates the contradiction between supply and demand of resources, and vigorously promotes resource conservation and environmental protection. Therefore, the construction of this project will be a typical demonstration of the practice of the circular economy concept, fully in line with the industrial development direction of the Dongjiakou Economic Zone, and will play a positive role in optimizing the industrial structure, upgrading the industrial level, expanding the economic scale of the economic zone, and building a national-level circular economy demonstration zone as soon as possible.
