Notice for the 3rd Platinum Group Metals Innovation Applications Forum, 2026

Release time:

20 Oct,2026

Notice on the Convening of the “Platinum Group Metals Innovative Applications Forum”

To all relevant units:

As the production and sales space for conventional internal‑combustion vehicles comes under pressure, demand for platinum and palladium in automotive exhaust‑aftertreatment catalysis has weakened, leading to a marked decline in consumption within traditional applications. However, emerging sectors—including semiconductors, glass fibers, new energy, environmental protection (water and air purification), fine chemicals, fossil energy, and healthcare—are generating growing demand for platinum‑group metals, offering significant potential for expansion. Accelerating the development of these nascent application markets to offset declines in established areas is a key pathway to ensuring the sustainable growth of platinum‑group metals. To foster deep integration among industry, academia, research institutions, and end‑users, as well as to establish a global cooperation network, this initiative aims to help enterprises seize opportunities presented by technological transformation, broaden their application scope in emerging fields, and expedite the translation of scientific advances into industrial applications. The China Resource Recycling Association will host the Third Platinum‑Group Metals Innovation and Application Forum in Shanghai on November 4, 2026. Relevant details are hereby announced as follows:
