18th China Precious Metals Industry Development Forum

Release time:

27 Sep,2024

In 2024, platinum group metal prices remained stable in the absence of major changes in consumption structure, and the industry continued to improve and upgrade; however, it also faced the current situation of intensifying involution, product homogeneity, fierce raw material recycling competition, and meager profits.

18th China Precious Metals Industry Development Forum

We are delighted to launch the programme for the upcoming 18th China Precious Metals Industry Development Forumwhich will take place from Wednesday, 13 – Friday, 15 November 202iXian, China. We take great pleasure in inviting you to join us.

In 2024, Chinese platinum group metals market saw little change in consumption and prices, but a slight growth in the recycling volume, driven by the trade-in policy (on March 13, the State Council issued the "Action Plan for Promoting Large-Scale Equipment Updating and Trade-in of Consumer Goods"). In late August, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued a draft for comments on the revision of the mandatory national standard "Evaluation Methods and Indicators for Passenger Vehicle Fuel Consumption" (for curb weight ≤1090kg, fuel consumption per 100km should be controlled within 2.57L; for curb weight greater than 1090kg, fuel consumption per 100km should be controlled within approximately 3.3L). If the policy is fulfilled, PGM market will experience a big shock.

In this context, the Xi’an Event will cover the latest perspectives on Chinese policies on auto catalyst collection and environmental protection, import tax policy on precious metals, pushing the consumption, scraps recycling safety, automotive catalysts trade-in, the listing progress of platinum and palladium futures products, and overseas industrial layout and innovative applications.
