On March 6, 2025, the "Symposium on Permeable Panel Material Innovation" sponsored by the China Precious Metals Industry Committee (CPMIC) of the China Recycling Resources Association was held in Shanghai. Representatives from the precious metals, fiberglass, and composite materials industries, as well as major fiberglass and leaky plate manufacturers, engaged in in-depth exchanges on cutting-edge technologies, industry trends, and application practices in the field of fiberglass leaky plate material innovation.

At the beginning of the conference, Bian Jiang, Vice President and Secretary-General of CPMIC, delivered the opening remarks. He said that with the increasing demand for high-quality development in the fiberglass industry, leaky plate materials, as core components of fiberglass production, have become a focus of industry in terms of performance optimization and cost control. This seminar aims to promote the efficient utilization and technological breakthroughs of precious metal materials in the fiberglass industry.

Liu Changlei, Secretary-General of the China Fiberglass Industry Association, delivered a speech titled "New Productivity Leading the High-Quality Development of the Global Fiberglass Industry." He described the development history, industrial layout, and development goals of China's fiberglass industry comprehensively , emphasizing that China's fiberglass needs to upgrade from traditional "fiber materials" to "inorganic materials," enhancing competitiveness through digital, green, and high-end transformation. The speech highlighted the importance of expanding into emerging fields such as photovoltaics and safety protection, while promoting upgrades in traditional markets (wind power, automobiles) and strengthening its global leadership.

Ms. Anna Karzhavina, Commercialization Manager of Nornickel Palladium Center, elaborated on the corporation's market leadership and recent breakthroughs in precious metal material innovation during her presentation. Emphasizing Nornickel's strategic orientation, she underscored the enterprise's commitment to developing premium value-added products via its palladium research division. With aspirations to emerge as a pioneer in sustainable technologies and precious metal advancement, the corporation, as articulated by Ms. Karzhavina, is positioned to demonstrate technological preeminence across hydrogen energy applications, electrochemical systems, and food processing technologies through its worldwide collaborative framework.

At an industry technology forum, Krastsvetmet's Development Director Alexey Kornienko presented "Cost Optimization Technologies for Platinum Group Metals (PGMs)," detailing the company's historical evolution and core technical capabilities through operational case studies. Highlighting sustained industrial demand despite geopolitical price fluctuations, he outlined a strategic roadmap incorporating palladium applications in advanced composites, price stabilization mechanisms for platinum/rhodium, enhanced China-Russia technological cooperation, and market expansion into hydrogen energy and fiber-optic sectors.

The thematic exchange session was chaired by Vice President Bian Jiang, with four experts from Nonico Palladium Center, Krastsvetmet, Taishan Glass Fiber, and Interpipe Platinum engaging in in-depth discussions on "Innovative Research on Glass Fiber Bushing Plate Materials." Attendees engaged in multi-dimensional exchanges on topics such as the development of new alloy materials, precision machining technologies, and lifecycle management, reaching consensus on multiple key issues.

Through technology sharing, case analysis, and interactive exchanges, this seminar provided new ideas for the innovative development of fiberglass leaky plate materials. In the future, CPMIC will continue to play a bridging role, integrating industry resources, promoting deep integration, and injecting new impetus into the high-quality innovative development of precious metal leaky plates in China.
