This year's Precious Metals Annual Meeting brought together domestic and foreign enterprises and institutions from the precious metals industry chain, including recycling, refining, deep processing, application, R&D, finance, and futures, with more than 500 participants. The meeting focused on discussing industry issues such as automobile catalyst collection and recycling environmental policies under the backdrop of intensifying industry competition, how to boost platinum group metal consumption, the security and supply of recycled precious metal materials, the design of platinum and palladium futures products, overseas industrial layouts, and innovative applications.

Xu Junxiang, President of the China Resource Recycling Association, expressed his gratitude to the various organizing and co-organizing units for their strong support of the Precious Metals Annual Meeting in his opening remarks. He said that the theme of this year's Precious Metals Annual Meeting, "Maintaining Strategic Determination, Inspiring Industrial Vitality, and Cultivating New Productivity," is highly relevant to the current needs and concerns of the industry and enterprises. At the same time, he put forward four suggestions for the high-quality development of the industry. Finally, he pointed out that the establishment of China Resources Recycling Group Co., Ltd. compels us to re-examine the direction of industrial development, adjust development strategies in a timely manner, and reduce transaction costs.

Jonathan Butler, Chairman of the International Platinum Group Metals Association (IPMI) and Vice Chairman of the London Platinum and Palladium Market Association (LPPM), introduced the main services and work progress of IPMI and LPPM in his speech, expressing hope for strengthening cooperation with CPMIC and the Chinese precious metals industry, and mutual recognition of relevant standards and qualifications, to make joint efforts for the integrated development of the precious metals industry.

Secretary-General Bianjiang finally introduced the current progress of CPMIC's work, including the industry research conducted in the early stages and the subsequent sampling arrangements in preparation for the listing of platinum and palladium futures on the Guangzhou Futures Exchange, industry tax reduction and exemption, the difficulty of obtaining input tax deductions for waste collection, the lack of qualifications for waste three-way catalyst collectors to apply for hazardous waste licenses, and how to leverage the exemplary role of large enterprises to implement responsible and committed procurement, production, and sales to promote the sustainable development of the entire industry under the conditions of serious industry involution.

During the Precious Metals Annual Meeting, special planning and organization of "Platinum and Palladium Futures Contract Design Demonstration Meeting", "High-end Dialogue: Breaking the Game", and "Precious Metals Industry Exhibition and Negotiation Meeting" were also conducted.
