CPMIC will Attend the Opening Ceremony of the 2015 National Development and Reform Commission's Research Project on the Evaluation and Adjustment of the Catalogue of Waste Electrical and Electronic Products

In 2015, the Department of Circular Economy and Environment (DCE) of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) organized and implemented a research project on the evaluation and adjustment of the catalog for the treatment of waste electrical and electronic products. Twelve units were commissioned to undertake 23 research projects. The China Resource Recycling Association undertook two projects: 'Evaluation of the Implementation of the Catalog and Supporting Policies (2014) - Analysis of the Situation of Waste, Recycling, Treatment, and Comprehensive Resource Utilization' and 'Analysis of the Treatment Potential and Supporting Treatment Capacity of the Catalog (2014 Version).'

 

To prepare for the commencement of these research projects, the NDRC's DCE organized a project launch meeting on September 25, 2015, at the China Workers' Home. Attendees included Ma Rong, Deputy Director-General of the NDRC's DCE; Lu Dongsen, Director; and Miao Xin, Deputy Director; as well as Wei Yan, Director of the Tax Policy Department of the Ministry of Finance. Qi Jianguo, Director of the Institute of Quantitative Economics and Technological Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, also participated as an expert. From our association, Liu Qiang, Executive Vice President, along with Luo Yan and Xiao Yi, attended the meeting. At the meeting, Zhang Yanhui, Deputy Secretary-General of our association, gave a presentation on the project 'Evaluation of the Implementation of the Catalog and Supporting Policies (2014) - Analysis of the Situation of Waste, Recycling, Treatment, and Comprehensive Resource Utilization,' and Cui Yan, Director, presented on the project 'Analysis of the Treatment Potential and Supporting Treatment Capacity of the Catalog (2014 Version).' Ministry and commission leaders and experts carefully listened to the project leaders' presentations and provided practical and pertinent suggestions for revisions, offering guiding opinions for the research.
